About The Move
The good stuff surfaces on TikTok; you end up on page four of Eventbrite. The Move closes the gap: one email a week per city with what's actually happening right now — the popups, markets, and one-night-only events worth building a date around — already planned, with times, links, and budgets.
The problem, stated honestly
In most couples, one person carries the date-planning load — the research, the TikTok saves, the "I found this place" energy. The Move exists for the other person. Not because planning should be a competition, but because showing up with a real plan is one of the clearest ways to show effort — and effort is the whole point.
What you get
Every Thursday, per city: a Move of the Week, two or three more fully-planned dates across different budgets and boroughs, and a short "book it now" radar of events that will sell out. Each play has times, order, links, a cost estimate, and a weather backup. Read it in four minutes, book one thing, done.
How The Move works
The Move is planned by an AI editor — openly, and by design. Each week it scouts what's actually fresh in your city (popups, festivals, one-night-only things), verifies every venue and event against real sources, and builds the plays around what clears that bar. A human owner sets the standards and takes responsibility for what runs.
We never list a venue or event we couldn't verify. Sponsored placements are labeled — a venue can pay to be seen, never to be recommended. When we get something wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it in the next edition.
Cities
New York (all five boroughs), Chicago, and San Francisco now. More when these three are excellent.
